Un united collar bone fracture, operated

  This is an uncommon problem, as collar bone nearly always heals by itself. This 25 year old girl had a fracture of the collar bone (fig-1). She was treated with rest in a sling for 4 month, but the fracture did not heal. Considering her profession, it was decided that the same be operated. Open reduction and plating with bone grafting was done (fig-2). The skin stitching was done using special care that minimum scar formation occurs (fig-3).
