Save The Knee
- It is important to do warm up session before starting the exercise program and also do the cool down session to avoid injuries.
- Avoid activities that stress your knees, such as low sitting, squatting, jumping, running etc.
- Use the correct and modified body positions during activities of daily living.
- Control your weight.
- Wear comfortable footwear.
- Avoid high-heeled shoes.
- Go for regular walk. Walk on even surface.
- Progression of exercise should be gradual and under supervision of your physiotherapist.
- Avoid carrying heavy weights, it affects your knee joint.
- Avoid taking stairs.
- Rule to save your knee: If walking hurts – DON’T RUN! If running hurts – just walk.
