Save the knee

  • It is important to do warm up session before starting the exercise program and also do the cool down session to avoid injuries
  • Avoid activities that stress your knees, such as low sitting, squatting, jumping, running etc.
  • Use the correct and modified body positions during activities of daily living
  • Control your weight.
  • Wear comfortable footwear.
  • Avoid high-heeled shoes.
  • Go for regular walk. Walk on even surface.
  • Progression of exercise should be gradual and under supervision of your physiotherapist
  • Avoid carrying heavy weights, it affects your knee joint
  • Avoid taking stairs.
  • Rule to save your knee: If walking hurts – DON’T RUN! If running hurts – just walk.
